This past Sunday (Aug. 9th) we went down to the Chula Vista Lemon Festival. Turns out it is just a few blocks of street fair type food and shopping, with some kiddie rides thrown in. The main reason we went was because Olivia's ballet/tap class was performing along with the other Rec. center dance classes. We also enjoyed some ice cold lemonade!
Here is Olivia all dressed and ready to dance.
Olivia was not blessed to have a mom who can do fancy hair so this ballet bun was a major accomplishment. With a lot of pins, hairspray, and a visit to the internet this was the end result.
One last practice before the girls dance in front of an audience.

A quick change into play clothes and we had time for a few rides.

Great pictures!! Your bun looks great...here is a tip for next time. Wash her hair right before, put it in a pony, braid, then do the bun.

Oh my goodness! Olivia in a ballet recital. I love it. She looked beautiful, bun and all. I couldn't have done the ponytail, let alone the bun. :) Jacob is a super proud big brother. Love, Grandma Dottie
