Olivia's Surgery

Today was the day that Olivia had her second nose surgery. We explained what was going to happen and she handled it just fine. We got to the hospital at 5:30 AM and she left for surgery at 7:30. The surgery was over at a little past 10:00. She went to recovery and then post-op. We made it home around 1:00. She never cried but then again if you had a team of people treating you like the queen you would be okay too. The staff at the hospital was so nice and went out of their way to make her feel comfortable. They thought it would make her feel better if they gave her beloved "Yellow Bunny" a bandage on his hand and a bandage on his nose just like she had. She freaked out when she saw Bunny's hand but she likes the one on his nose! :-) The doctor thinks that in a few years we may have to do another surgery but we will have to wait and see how this one heals. In the meantime she is home, relaxing in the big bed, and watching Disney movies!

Sitting pretty in bed!

Watching Cinderella and waiting for her surgery time.

Home in bed! The bandages are skin color so they don't look too bad but we can already see the major bruising underneath. She will most likely have two black eyes tomorrow if it's anything like the first surgery. There's Yellow Bunny's bandage too.

Little League Day at Petco Park

Today was Little League Day at Petco Park. All the San Diego Little League organizations were invited to attend the game and participate in the Little League Parade. We arrived at the stadium around at 10:45 and Michael and Jacob went to find the Eastlake teams and line up. Brandie and Sean came along with Olivia and I to find our seats. The Little League teams got to enter the stadium at left field and walk along the warning track all the way around to the exit at right field. As they passed by home plate Michael and Jacob found us in the stands, yelling and cheering for them! We met them back at the seats after the parade and stayed for the whole game. Sadly the Padres lost but Jacob was so proud to walk on the field wearing his uniform!

Jacob waiting for the parade to start.
Jacob took this picture as he walked around the field.
He also took a picture of us cheering in the stands!
Here we are, the whole family sporting our A's T-ball shirts! (Even Olivia is wearing her shirt though you can't see it.)

Waving from our seats

Enjoying a treat of cotton candy with some very sticky hands.
