First Day of School

Look closely because that is our big first grader sporting some new braces for the first day of school. Jacob started first grade on August 24th. He is in Mrs. Savinon's class at Jamacha and Mom is right across the hall.

It's good to have friends! Here are the boys flashing the first grade sign. Jacob, Jack, Kai, and Thomas are all in the same class this year. It's one thing to go to school where your mom works and it's even harder when the teacher is one of your mom's good friends!

Chula Vista Lemon Festival

This past Sunday (Aug. 9th) we went down to the Chula Vista Lemon Festival. Turns out it is just a few blocks of street fair type food and shopping, with some kiddie rides thrown in. The main reason we went was because Olivia's ballet/tap class was performing along with the other Rec. center dance classes. We also enjoyed some ice cold lemonade!

Olivia was not blessed to have a mom who can do fancy hair so this ballet bun was a major accomplishment. With a lot of pins, hairspray, and a visit to the internet this was the end result.
