Spring Break - Part 1

Things are slowing down a little bit so we have the time to go back and fill you in on our fun filled Spring Break. Our spring vacation lasted from March 15th to March 30th. The adults kicked off Spring Break with Couples Night Out on the 15th (see the Gates Family Blog for some pics). After a great night with friends Sunday was rainy and became an indoor day. Thank goodness the rain didn't last because we had a beach party scheduled for Tuesday. Our friend Kai was celebrating his 5th birthday at the Silver Strand in Coronado. Check out the pictures to see what a great day it turned out to be. (We are lucky to have the pictures we do since I took the old camera and forgot to charge the batteries. Ooops!)

First, here is our "Star of the Day"! Kai turned 5 on March 10th. It was fun to see all the boys together, except our friend Thomas who couldn't make it.

The day started a little breezy but it didn't take long for the kids to change into swimsuits. It was a great day with not a cloud in the sky.
Olivia's a big girl now....she ate lunch with the big kids on the picnic table.

Here's Jacob braving the freezing water!

Livie wasn't as brave but she didn't mind getting her toes wet.

She enjoyed playing in the sand (and eating some of it) a lot better than the water.

Jacob loves the sand too. Look at how big he and his friends are getting. If you've got time look at old posts to really see the changes!

Jack
Connor
Connor's big sister Lauren. She's 8 years old now!
Stay tuned for our next Spring Break Adventure. After the beach it was off to Disneyland.....coming soon!

Looked like a wonderful spring break! I cannot for the life of me believe how big the boys are (and Olivia, of course). Wow. I remember all of them when they were in your bellies and newborn. Everything looks great! :)

Olivia & Jacob, Wow! Looks like a good time was had by all. Won't be long until the carefree days of summer are here again and more beach trips! (Too bad your mom and dad don't ever take any pictures!!) Ha!
Hope to see you all soon!
