Wow as usual we can't figure out where all of our time goes! Jessica is in the final month and a half of school and is busy with all the extracurricular activities that 5th graders get to enjoy. She took the Safety Patrol to Disneyland, attended a student's award ceremony, took her class on a Floating Sea Lab fieldtrip, and is gearing up for promotion. All of which happens after normal school hours and therefore our blog has been very neglected. We've had requests for Easter pictures so we will back up to April and catch everybody up!
Last Easter we were visiting the Orlando's in Washington D.C. and we flew home to Los Angeles in time to celebrate with the family. Because we missed out on the Easter traditions we made sure to fit them all in this year. We started on Saturday at our community's annual Spring Social. The association had clowns, crafts, face painting, contests, and of course an egg hunt! The egg hunt was more of a free-for-all and Jacob was the youngest in the age grouping so he was a bit overwhelmed. He managed to get one egg which was all you needed for a treat bag so he left happy! Later that afternoon we dyed Easter eggs for the first time. After a few dropped and broken eggs Jacob got the hang of it and we ended up with 36 beautifully colored and decorated works of art.
Here is Jacob and Michael working on their craft.
The finished masterpiece!
Jacob got his hand painted instead of his face.
We got to meet the Easter bunny!
Look at all of our colors!
Jacob was a master with the tongs.
